USMT is the command line reference tool for migrating Windows Domain user profiles and local accounts:
- from one PC to another,
- from a local account to a Domain profile and vice versa,
- from one user profile to another and
- even from one OS to another.

USMT migrates application settings (but NOT the applications!), mails, documents, browser favorites, Desktop content, certificates, printers and drive mappings amongst other things...
To see more about what exactly USMT will migrate, please see the Microsoft Reference Documentation.

USMTGUI is what it states. A GUI to simplify the usage of USMT.
With USMTGUI you can move (backup) user accounts/profiles from a running Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 and restore onto a new PC running Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10
- Restoring to new user or Domain is equally simple.

For further details please consult the USER GUIDE or check out our USMT GUI Video guides.

To backup from XP or VISTA, use USMTGUI offline.

EhlerTech and USMTGUI cannot be held liable for any lacking abilities to migrate users and settings as MS USMT handles the migration process.
- USMTGUI is just a GUI to USMT.
